HUBCO Offices

When HUBCO, a power generating company, set up its Head Office as the first independent power plant in Pakistan, it asked ASA to design its new offices. An abundance of energy and enthusiasm marked the beginning of their journey.
ASA based their design on the name of the company and created the board room as the “hub” of the office, with a congregation space just off it; all other spaces emanated from the hub. The congregation space became a vital area with the concentric elliptical elements predominant in the HUBCO logo, symbolizing energy fields. These were brought into the central congregation space and developed with natural elements, casual benches, and a snacking area to encourage colleagues to interact. Rugged, colorful elements, such as corrugated metal sheets, chunky solid wood sections, and girder-shaped sections, were used in the detailing of the office space.
