Bank Al Habib Head Office
Bank al Habib offices were to be relocated from their existing I.I Chundrigar location to the newly acquired Centre Point Building, Karachi.
ASA was commissioned to design 80,000 sq ft of office space housing various departments. The new office was to be based on open planning, and collaborative working rather than what BAHL personnel were previously accustomed to. We observed that Centre Point had a strong cuboid geometry on its façade. This we translated into the interior, creating “cubes “of semi-private spaces for senior members.
These units being self-contained workspaces with writing surfaces, storage, plants ect, located in open plan settings yet allowing privacy creating an easier transition into open plan working. An interior was created using these forms “cube “alongside simple, clean lines and geometries of the remaining interior elements. Vibrant carpet colors bring the floors alive and centralized meeting rooms on each floor allow for collaboration and interaction with fellow employees.
