ASA Office

When ASA renovated its offices, there was no intention to do away with the footprint of history embedded in the blueprint of the building that had housed the architectural firm since the time the brothers, Arshad and Shahid Abdulla interned there as youngsters in the mid-1960s. All of its history has been retained while indigenous materials have been utilized to creatively divide sections, balancing space for employees with room for collaborative units at every step. It is easy to forget that the offices are in one of the busiest areas of the city. The COO’s room and some adjoining areas are built under a 100-year-old Banyan tree, and to make full use of the view, the dappled sunlight, and shade, the rooms are skylit with large glass panels.
The board room, where meetings are held daily, has a koi pond, and it is not unusual to hear shrieks of delight from clients’ children. The informal, quiet yet creative atmosphere of the office wins the hearts and minds of people visiting the ASA office. They recognize immediately that a sense of camaraderie exists alongside professionalism and creativity.
Reflecting ASA philosophy, the office is a bright, friendly, calm, and timeless space with water, fish, and foliage.
