ASA was required to design two houses for brothers’ families, mostly young residents. The concept for the residences evolved from a strong personal and professional relationship. Thus, to keep them connected, the houses are only divided by a wooden screen rather than a strict concrete wall. In the same way, most divisions in the houses are fluid- the interaction between nature and man-made, the interface between the internal courtyard and the exterior spaces.
Doors, benches and artwork are accented with a lively yellow that contrast against the plaster walls, in keeping with the spirit of the young household. It is designed to be a home that provides room to grow.
