Dolmen City
Dolmen City, located on Karachi’s seafront, was a landmark development that introduced the country’s first modern shopping mall alongside four premium office towers. ASA was responsible for the master planning and design, which included addressing several challenges as it was a first-of-its-kind project for both the client and the architects.
The site’s four-sided road access allowed ASA to effectively separate traffic flows and ensure smooth circulation around the complex. Inside the mall, careful attention was given to material selection, safety features, and the movement of people. The interiors were designed in a restrained, monochromatic palette to maintain a sense of timelessness.
Alongside the mall, two office towers—the Harbour Front and the Executive Tower—were developed. The Harbour Front was designed to attract high-end corporate tenants, while the Executive Tower, initially conceived as a residential block and later converted to office use, offered a distinct character of its own.
The project’s success laid the foundation for future growth. A decade later, in response to rising demand for premium office spaces, the two 33-storey Sky Towers were added to the development, further strengthening Dolmen City’s position as a leading commercial hub in Karachi.
