Since the project is located in a congested area of the city, the main focus of planning and design was to provide a health facility with an inward environment of tranquillity for the patients and visitors. The master plan features outdoor and indoor courts, terraces and waiting areas at every floor to enable relatives and well-wishers to be close by and informed, at the same time allowing a screening needed to facilitate aseptic conditions and quiet for the patients to recuperate and recover.

Hence, the ground floor houses outpatient and emergency areas where as the upper three floors have a series of private and semi-private rooms as well as the wards. The first floor accommodates the operation theaters along with the ICU and HDU. Fourth floor is dedicated for doctor’s research facilities where as the basement houses the services and ancillary functions of the hospital.

The dream and vision of the client for this not for profit hospital was for it to be a gift to the community at large, promoting excellence in the field of cardiovascular health. A gift that does not restrict itself to state of the art medical care, but also extends itself by providing these facilities in a space that gives dignity and respect to its user.
