Director, Interior Design
Soon after my training in the US, I joined ASA in 1985. I remained a part of this team till 1996, mostly in the Interior Design department. It was a privilege to have been trained by both Arshad and Shahid during these professionally formative years. Learning to balance practicality and flair under their expert guidance has been an irreplaceable fortune.
My subsequent 14 years were spent overseas; between Riyadh, Moscow and Dubai. These years were spent doing freelance architectural projects, documentation of heritage buildings and pursuing my passion for ceramics. As a family we returned to Pakistan in 2009 and I rejoined ASA.
It was an exciting time at the firm. It had grown tremendously with various interesting projects on hand varying in scale and complexity. There were many more designers and professional involved than when I had left. There was more to do but at the same time, more to learn. Even the construction industry in Pakistan had evolved and matured. With my interest and inclination towards details, I rejoined the Interior Design department at ASA and have been closely involved in several projects since.
